The Sandpiper
The Sandpiper Hotel is located in Holetown on the west coast of Barbados. With 47 rooms set on seven acres of studiously designed gardens overflowing with lush foliage and tropical flowers and palms, it is a well-kept secret. Room accommodation is in keeping with the beautiful surroundings at The Sandpiper and in line with the overall atmosphere of tranquil delight which the owners have sought to create. The rooms have been designed to exude a feeling of spacious comfort. The thought of sinking into light feather beds on the finest of Egyptian cotton linens might be sufficient to lull you into a relaxed state before even reaching the bed. And... if one evening you simply can’t make it to the dining room, there is no charge for room service. Temptations, temptations... For many of its guests, the restaurant at The Sandpiper is highly regarded and touted as one of the very best on the island. The only way to confirm this is to place it on your list of things to do while in Barbados. The mid-week West Indian/International buffet ought not to be missed. Recognising that some persons might be content to enjoy all their meals at the hotel, the Executive Chef and his team take the time to create a variety of menu variations to appeal to the most discerning diner. The dinner menu is revisited at least five times a week. Now how is that for service! For a more informal dining experience, take time out for Harold’s Beach Bar, where alfresco lunches and creative cocktails can be enjoyed in a laid back atmosphere. Like many others, this hotel offers external beauty and internal luxury: its gardens, pools and bars, yet there is something that differentiates it. |
