Cotton Tower Signal Station

The Cotton Tower Signal Station is located just off the main road in Horse Hill in the parish of St. Joseph and is one of the six (6) signal stations erected across Barbados after the 1816 Slave Rebellion. This  19th century signal station offers a magnificent view of the rugged Scotland District of Barbados.

This Cotton Tower signal station was opened in  1819 and was named after the daughter of Lord Combermere, Caroline Cotton. This particular signal staion is the only one that is three (3) storeys high.

 

It has been restored by the Barbados National Trust and is serviced as a historic site for the public of Barbados and visitors alike.
