Champers Restaurant & Wine Bar
On the south coast of Barbados, and slightly off the beaten track on Skeete's Hill in Christ Church, sits Champers, a popular restaurant of exquisite quality. Set in a charming former residential building, this restaurant property has been enhanced with the addition of natural palms and beautiful plants welcoming patrons as they enter the premises. On entering the building, one may be a bit taken aback at its expansiveness, which cannot be immediately gleaned from a view of the exterior. The decor is cool and inviting and the establishment, set on more than one level, is very tastefully furnished. There are many restaurants on the island of Barbados and each, like Champers, possesses its own special quality. Open for lunch and dinner, the selection of items has been rarely known to disappoint. Items on the lunch menu include Coconut Shrimp with Chili Sauce, Crab Crepe au Gratin or Champers Fish Pie. For dinner, patrons can choose Grilled Yellow Fin Tuna or Cajun Mahi Mahi and these are but a few examples from Champer’s menu. The finest of liquid refreshment is available for consumption: wines, champagne, scotch and whisky and anything else which you can imagine. Exotic mixed drinks, well-known and not so well-known can be made for the delight of those persons who visit this fine restaurant in Barbados. For those persons desirous of remaining within a very safe zone, regular soda beverages are also available. Secure parking is available on the vacant lot opposite and if not driving, a taxi or other transportation can drop you right outside the door. Unfortunately, public transport does not traverse this route, however Champers is within very reasonable walking distance from the main road. This is a culinary experience not to be missed. Make a reservation for Champers while in Barbados!
