The Tides Restaurant
On the west coast of Barbados in Holetown, St. James, is The Tides Restaurant. Housed in a beautiful old coral stone building on the seafront, Tides exudes warmth and exclusivity in one breath. The Tides is a smoke-free establishment. That is certainly not a deterrent to the many patrons who pass through its doors as reviews received fall nothing short of glowing and spectacular. Also, there is an Art Gallery which provides an excellent distraction. Various art pieces adorn the walls of the building and lounge area and are much appreciated by those persons who are lovers of food and fine art. Visitors to Tides swear by everything on the menu; however look out for the Jamaican "Jerk" Pork Tenderloin and the Sautéed Spiced Jumbo Shrimp and Thai Scented Crab Cakes. For the vegetarian, there is a zesty Mushroom Risotto. Special items are available for children. The staff at Tides is happy to meet the special needs of their prospective clients. Use of the restaurant and its services is not limited to traditional dining; rather patrons can make enquiries about holding any number of special events, for example baby showers or birthday parties. Depending on the size of the group, use can be made of a semi-private area; however the entire restaurant can be booked on request. As for weddings, a couple's dream day can become their reality when they come-a-calling at this fine establishment in Barbados. This can be a major relief, especially if you are deciding to come to a strange location to get married! All the frilly details can be drilled down with the experienced and professional staff at Tides, even details such as organising photographers!
