SpringVale Eco-Heritage Museum

SpringVale Eco-Heritage Museum is located in the lush, forested and peaceful parish of St. Andrew. This once plantation property was converted to its current museum by owner Newlands Greenidge, who along with his wife, Denise, saw the need to preserve some piece of Barbados' heritage, which incidentally constituted his childhood. Emphasis is placed on the folk of the Scotland District and the very methods of survival used between Emancipation and the 1930s. A short walking trail was created so that visitors can meander at will through fruit trees and locally grown vegetables.
