Surfer's PointSurfer's Point and Kayaker's Point are both on the South East Coast of Barbados, in the parish of Christ Church, with Inch Marlowe, Long Bay, and Grantley Adams International Airport to the north east, and Silver Sands, Little Bay and South Point Lighthouse to the south west.
As the name Surfer's Point indicates, this area is a favourite spot for surfing, with approximately 350 days each year having ridable waves that are safe for beginners and children. However, activities in this part of Barbados are not restricted to board surfing - windsurfing, kitesurfing, boogie boarding and kayaking are just some of the other popular activities at Surfer's Point. Taking part in any of these watersports in the clear Caribbean waters here, with its medium to large waves and lots of undertow, is an absolute 'must-do' for adventure lovers and thrill seekers. Windsurfers can also rent windsurf equipment from Brian "de Action Man" Talma's windsurf center at nearby Silver Rock.
Those of you who have come on holiday to Barbados to relax, and are feeling less adventurous, can sit on the benches or the beach watching others catching the waves. A similarly less demanding activity is to have a picnic at Surfer's Point while keeping an eye open for the sea turtles that frequent this area.
Surfers Point in Barbados is located close to supermarkets, shopping and health clinics, not to mention some exciting night spots. Nearby Oistins also homes the Fish Market and the world famous Oistins Fish Grill on weekend nights.
